The Alyla Suzuki Music Center

The Alyla Suzuki Music Center was founded upon the Suzuki approach to Early Childhood learning. Although the “Suzuki Early Childhood Education” program has been adopted throughout the world, this pioneering program is relatively new within the United States. This program is substantial in that it addresses the most current research in Early Childhood Education and is the only program of it’s kind in CT.  The Alyla Suzuki Music Center offers group classes as well as individual piano and violin classes.

Only a handful of teachers have this specialized training.   For the first time, The Suzuki Early Childhood Program has been included in the University of Hartford’s Summer Institute for Teacher Training. The demonstration classes were taught by Lynn McCall and Laura Speno. The uniqueness of Suzuki Early Childhood Education is the emphasis on the natural development of the child from birth and the rich and stimulating learning partnerships that are developed with parents and teachers.  This program teaches the child focus, concentration skills, and creates and strengthens brain development from birth.

The Alyla Suzuki Music Center for Early Childhood Education is located in Woodbridge Connecticut (see Map).  The school was founded in 2007 and currently is taking students for the fall of 2009.
